2025 Waitoa Mount Festival Half Marathon Event Schedule to come
Waitoa Mount Festival Half Marathon – 21 km – must be at least 16 years of age on event day.
Waitoa Mount Festival Half Marathon – 10.5km – All participants under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult for the entire duration of the event and the accompanying adult takes full responsibility for the safety of the entrant 10 years or under.
Participants over the age of 10 can complete the event without an adult accompanying them. Maximum of 2 children per adult.
Waitoa Mount Festival Half Marathon – 5km – No age restrictions. All participants under the age of 5 must be accompanied by an adult for the entire duration of the event and the accompanying adult takes full responsibility for the safety of the entrant 5 years or under. Maximum of 2 children per adult.
Are dogs allowed?
- No, unfortunately, we cannot have dogs on course and there are no dogs allowed on the base track
Can I take my child in a pram?
- Due to space restrictions, prams are not permitted on course
What is the minimum entry age?
- All ages, but children under 12 must have a parent entered and be supervised at all times
Can I walk?
- Yes you can, but you must stay to the left of other runners and athletes
Finishers medals will be presented to all individual competitors at the finish line who finish within the cut off time.
Finishers certificates will be available to download from results.racetiming.co.nz after your race.
The Athlete Recovery Lounge is open to all athletes to take some time to rest up and re-energize after crossing the finish line. There will be water, supplements, nutrition, sponsors products and massage available.
Massage – Post race massage will be available in the Athlete Recovery Lounge
Prize Giving – Prize Giving will be at 5:45pm in Coronation Park

Results
This road running race, half marathon event (21km) with five kilometre (5km), and ten kilometre (10km) options, is hosted in the sunny Mount Maunganui, running oceanside on the same course as the iconic Tauranga Half Ironman. Part road running, part trail this in a running event for everyone.
You are treated to a flat, fast course with five on course aid stations, with electrolytes, gels, coke, bananas and is the only event of its kind that has an epic recovery lounge!
Whether you love road running, trail running, marathon running, or half marathon running – this is a road race for you!
We welcome elite runners through to beginner runners.
